Lady Booth Ridding and Trekking Centre

Escorted rides over beautiful countryside

First established in 1962 Ladybooth has earned the reputation of being one of the best of all Riding and Trekking centres.

Situated in the Peak National Parks glorious Edale Valley, we offer rides over genuinely unspoiled moorland.

The peaceful countryside abounds with wildlife, Curlews, Hawks, Hares and the ever present Sheep can all be observed with out any disturbance.

We follow the centuries old pack route over Jagger's Clough to Winhill which commands a fine view of both Edale and Hope Valley, on down through the scented pine forest to the beauty of the Derwent Valley, with its lake-like reservoirs surrounded by forested hills to the edge of Mam Tor and on to Rushop Edge.

The 30 or so horses and ponies all live on the extensive grazing of Ladybooth Farm with ample stabling and the care of the owner and staff ensures their fitness and well being.

Tuition is available for adults & children in our large outdoor ménage.

Hourly rates are generally available through the winter months.

Riding hats are available at the centre.
