Upper Booth Camp Site

A beautiful site near the head of the valley

Upper Booth Camping comprises a 30 pitch campsite and a camping barn which are situated on a working hill farm at the head of the Edale Valley approximately two miles from the village of Edale. The farm is part of the National Trust's High Peak Estate.

Camping is over two fields and bordered on one side by Crowden Brook. The site enjoys fine views towards Rushup Edge, Kinder Scout and down the Edale Valley.

Hot and cold water, toilets and shower are available at the site, which is open all year. Basic supplies are stocked, packed lunches are available by prior arrangement.

Upper Booth provides an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts. The Pennine Way passes through the farmyard. Leisure walks and more demanding high level walks are available from the farm. Horse riding, biking, airsports and outdoor swimming are all available locally.

Upper Booth is ideally situated for exploring the both the Dark Peak and White Peak areas of the Peak District National Park. Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Buxton, the Upper Derwent Valley and many National Trust properties are well worth visiting.
